Jean Ergas

Jean Ergas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jean currently holds the position of Chief Economist at Tigress Financial Partners which they have been serving since 2015. In addition to this, Jean has also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University since 2015 and as an Adjunct Faculty Member at both New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (2011) and Manhattanville College (2013).

Before these roles, they were a Consultant at Jean Ergas Consulting (2003-2010) where they specialized in Global Insurance and Financial Institutions, undertaking tasks such as M&A financial and strategic due diligence and negotiating with target companies.

Jean also brings with him experience in the insurance industry, where they worked as Assistant Vice President at AM Best Company (1997-2003), being responsible for developing and implementing business plans for various markets. Jean started their career as a Marketing Consultant Services / Financial Analyst at Tepol Inc. (1994-1996) and Consultant - Financial Analyst at Secofin Srl (1990-1991).

Prior to that, Jean gained valuable experience in the banking industry as part of the Capital Markets Marketing Fixed Income Transaction Origination team at Swiss Bank Corporation (1987-1990). Jean also served as Credit Manager at Enichem International (1984-1987), where they were responsible for managing credit for a European chemical group.

Jean Ergas completed a BA Honors degree in History from the University of Sussex between the years 1973 and 1978. Jean then pursued an MBA in Economics from NYU Stern School of Business from 1992 to 1993. Subsequently, they obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business from 1993 to 1994.
