Selena Chan

Selena Chan is an experienced research leader currently serving as the Research Lead at TikTok since June 2024. Prior to TikTok, Chan held the position of Group Research Manager at Grammarly, where research focused on enhancing communication through AI products and enterprise solutions. At Meta, from July 2016 to April 2023, Chan progressed through multiple roles, including Head of Research for the AI Platform and Infrastructure, where insights informed company strategies and compliance. Chan's earlier experience includes roles at VMware as a Staff UX Researcher and at Intel Corporation, where contributions spanned product strategy, UX design, and biomedical research. Selena Chan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has a strong foundation in technology and engineering, complemented by leadership in both research and product development.
