Yiqun Duan

Yiqun Duan is a Research Scientist at TikTok, focusing on multi-modality large language models and reinforcement training for content understanding and moderation. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney, co-leading a brain foundation model project. Yiqun has also worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where contributions included large-scale foundation models and visual language alignment, as well as model development for multi-modal product search. Previous work at ByteDance involved enhancing computer vision capabilities and optimizing the content moderation pipeline for various global products. Yiqun Duan holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney and a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
