Jean-François GIRMENS

Jean-François GIRMENS has extensive work experience in the field of ophthalmology. Jean-François started their career in 2002 as an M.D. and Ophthalmologist at the Centre Hospitalier National d'Ophtalmologie des Quinze-Vingts. In this role, they also took on the additional responsibility of being an Associate Coordinator for the CIC1423 project. Jean-François continues to work in both positions at the hospital.

In 2006, Jean-François became a Webmaster at LinkOph, a role they still hold. Jean-François also co-founded OphtalmoTV in 2009.

From 2007 to 2015, Jean-François worked as a Consultant at Sanofi Fovea.

Since 2008, they have been a Webmaster and part of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Association OVR (Occlusion Veineuse Rétinienne).

In 2016, Jean-François co-founded Tilak Healthcare, where they currently serve as both the Medical Advisor/Director of Ophthalmology and a Co-Founder.

Jean-François GIRMENS has an extensive education background. In 1990, they attended the University of Montpellier and obtained a CSCT degree in Medicine, which they completed in 1997. Following this, from 1997 to 2002, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the Université Paris Cité. Jean-François then enrolled at Pierre and Marie Curie University in 2004 and completed a DIU CESAM program in Méthodologie Statistique (METHO) et Pratique des Essais Cliniques (SPEC) in 2005. Additionally, in 1989, before their university studies, they completed their Baccalauréat C at Lycée Joffre in Montpellier.
