Maria Lapiana

Maria LaPiana has over 30 years of work experience in the field of writing and editing. Maria began their career as a Home Writer for Newsday in 1986 and later worked as a Senior Writer and Assistant Features Editor for The Sacramento Bee. In 2001, they joined The Taunton Press as a Copywriter and later became an Associate Editor. Maria then served as the Editor for Connecticut Home & Garden from 2006 to 2009. Maria also worked as the Managing Editor for Cottages & Gardens Publications and as a Copywriter for Ethan Allen Global, Inc. From 2013 onwards, they contributed as a Writer to New England Home and currently holds the role of Content Director at TileBar since 2022.

Maria LaPiana has a Master's degree in Magazine Journalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. Maria also holds a Bachelor's degree in English from SUNY New Paltz. In addition, Maria has another Master's degree in Magazine Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
