Aaron Wolen

Aaron's background is in computational biology and genomics. After earning a PhD in Human and Molecular Genetics, he received post-doctoral training at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics, and eventually joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he co-founded VCU's Data Science Lab. Before joining TileDB, he served as Director of Bioinformaics for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center's Transplant Research Institute. He is also an active open source software contributor and has authored or co-authored R packages on CRAN, Bioconductor, and rOpenSci.
