Philipp Winter

Philipp Winter is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at TileDB since January 2024. Prior experience includes a position as a Security Researcher at Brave Software from February 2021 to October 2023, and leadership as the Anti-censorship Team Lead at The Tor Project from April 2019 to January 2021. Philipp also contributed to the field of internet data analysis as an Internet Data Scientist at the Center for Applied Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA) from March 2018 to March 2019. Earlier career experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University from July 2015 to February 2018. Philipp holds a PhD in Computer Science from Karlstad University, obtained in June 2015, as well as an MS in Secure Information Systems and a BS in Computer and Media Security from Hagenberg Campus - FH Upper Austria, completed in 2010 and 2008, respectively.
