Benjamin Guest

Benjamin Guest has a diverse range of work experience, spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they are working at Till Financial as a Principal Software Engineer, starting in March 2023. Prior to this, Benjamin held the position of Co-Founder and Head of Technology at Lantern from January 2020 to February 2023. During their time at Lantern, they played a pivotal role in managing a remote engineering team and developing technical solutions for localized delivery and e-commerce. Benjamin also transitioned the systems from monolithic apps to efficient server-less systems.

Before their time at Lantern, Benjamin worked at Drizly from February 2015 to January 2020 as a Staff Software Engineer. In this role, they had various responsibilities, including serving as the Engineering Manager and Team Lead for both the Content Management and Mobile/Apps teams. Benjamin was well-versed in technologies such as Ruby/Rails, iOS/Swift/Objective-C, and AWS.

Prior to Drizly, Benjamin worked at Visible Measures as a Software Engineer from February 2013 to February 2015. Benjamin also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Orbital ATK from 2006 to 2013 and as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon SBRS from 2004 to 2006. Benjamin began their career as an Engineering Intern at General Dynamics ATP from May 2003 to April 2004.

Benjamin Guest obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont. After completing their undergraduate studies, they joined UC Santa Barbara in 2005 and pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, which they successfully completed in 2008.
