René Olsthoorn

René Olsthoorn has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. René most recently served as a Bestuurslid VVNH at Koninklijke VVNH since January 2019. Prior to that, they held the positions of CEO and CFO at Timber and Building Supplies Holland N.V. from 2015 to 2019, and CFO at PontMeyer from 2009 to 2015. René also worked as a Finance Director at PaperlinX Europe and BührmannUbbens and PaperlinX Benelux, where they held various roles from 1997 to 2009. Before that, they worked at Svedex as a Productieleider and at Fokker Aircraft as a Projectleider.

René Olsthoorn's education history includes their studies at multiple institutions. In 1985, they enrolled at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Bedrijfskunde and graduated in 1990 with the title of Ingenieur (Ir.). Subsequently, from 1995 to 1996, they attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and obtained a CMA degree in Management Accounting. Most recently, in 2019, René Olsthoorn participated in a High Performance Leadership program at IMD.
