Edward Rimmer

Edward Rimmer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Edward began their career at Maddox Factoring UK Ltd as a Graduate Trainee Manager in 1995 and later served as a Sales Manager. In 1998, they joined Bibby Factors Sussex Ltd as a Sales Director.

In 2002, Rimmer took on the role of Managing Director at Bibby Factors Manchester Ltd, where they successfully led and grew the business. Edward achieved break-even in the first year and a profit of £1 million by the third year. Additionally, they built a highly successful sales team and maintained a clean record with no bad debt provisions.

Rimmer then progressed to Bibby Financial Services in 2004, where they held various leadership positions. As Regional Managing Director for the Central Region, they oversaw the Liverpool, Manchester, and Leicester businesses, achieving significant growth and low bad debt provisions. In 2007, they assumed the position of Chief Executive UK, leading and directing the entire UK business and contributing to the formulation and implementation of the global strategy.

Continuing their career at Bibby Line Group, Rimmer served as Chief Executive of Bibby Ship Management Group in 2012. Edward successfully implemented a cultural change program aimed at improving performance and oversaw the company's operations in seven countries.

Rimmer then joined Bibby Supply Chain Services Ltd in 2014 as the Chief Executive of the Employment Services portfolio. In this role, they restructured several companies, initiated strategic acquisitions, and achieved growth goals.

From 2016 to 2018, Rimmer became the Program Director at Bibby Line Group, leading a strategic review of Costcutter Supermarkets and making recommendations for the consolidation of the symbol group sector within the retail convenience store market.

Prior to their current position, Rimmer was at 1pm plc, where they held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of the Commercial Finance Division. Edward was responsible for the performance and strategic direction of seven subsidiary brands within the group, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Currently, Rimmer is the Chief Executive Officer at Time Finance plc, where they lead a team that provides funding solutions for UK business owners and supports thousands of SMEs each year.

Edward Rimmer's education history begins with their A Levels in Mathematics & Economics at King George V Sixth Form College from 1988 to 1990. Edward then pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business & Finance at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1990 to 1992. Edward continued their education at Sheffield Hallam University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Studies from 1992 to 1994. Finally, in 2010, Edward attended the London Business School, completing the Senior Executive Programme (SEP).
