Aj Hess

AJ Hess currently serves as the Senior Editor of the Ideas Section at TIME, a position held since December 2024. Prior to this role, AJ worked at Fast Company as a Staff Editor from November 2022 to December 2024, and previously at Robinhood as Multimedia Lead, overseeing multimedia projects and contributing to the Snacks newsletter, which boasts over 40 million subscribers. AJ's journalism career began at CNBC, where as a Multimedia Reporter from December 2016 to January 2022, coverage focused on education and the labor force, including the launch of CNBC's inaugural college ranking. Earlier experience includes a role as Project Manager at Third Bridge Group Limited and a Digital Media Seasonal Associate position at 270 Strategies. AJ holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts and Sciences and Political Science from Wellesley College, and completed a Business Journalism Seminar at The Wharton School in October 2021.
