Alana Semuels

Alana Semuels is currently a Senior Economics Correspondent at Time Magazine, a position held since April 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Writer for The Atlantic from October 2014 to April 2019, focusing on economic challenges faced by workers and cities. Semuels also worked as an East Coast correspondent for the Los Angeles Times from September 2006 to September 2014, covering significant national events and economic trends. Earlier roles include Staff Writer at the Los Angeles Times, where stories spanned business and national segments, and London correspondent for the Boston Globe, writing on political and cultural issues in the UK.
