Matt Sheehan

MCR Lead Engineer at Timeline Television Ltd.

Matt Sheehan has over 10 years of work experience in the broadcasting industry. Matt started their career as a Content Management Transmission Operator at Globecast in 2015. Matt then worked as a Network Operator at Arqiva in 2016, before moving to Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services as a Playout Director later that year. Matt also worked as a Playout Operator at DMC - AMC Networks International in 2016. In 2017, they joined Timeline Television as a Broadcast Engineer, and also worked as a Master Control (MCR) Technical Operator at Comux UK during the same period. Matt then took on the role of Transmission Controller at IMG from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, they joined NEP Group, Inc. as a LiveCenter MCR Operator, where they worked until 2019. Matt has most recently been employed at Timeline Television since 2020, where they have held the positions of Broadcast Distribution Manager/MCR Engineer and is currently working as an MCR Lead Engineer.

Matt Sheehan attended Kenilworth School and sports college from 1994 to 1998, where they completed their GCSEs in various subjects including English, English Literature, Maths, Science (Double Award), Drama, Geography, Spanish, and Design & Technology.

Matt then enrolled at Stratford-upon-Avon College from 1998 to 2000, where they pursued an A Level Theatre Studies Package. Their field of study included Theatre, Drama, English Literature, and Media. During this time, they also obtained City & Guilds Media Techniques certification in Television & Video.

Following their time at Stratford-upon-Avon College, Matt Sheehan joined The University of Huddersfield from 2000 to 2003. Here, they pursued a BA (HONS) degree in Media & TV Production.
