Chandana Chitralekha began their work experience in 2019 as a winner of Parkland Hospital's Healthcare Hackathon, where they developed a solution to improve healthcare accessibility for LGBTQ+ youth. In 2020, they served as a Senior Research Assistant for Project LIBRA at The University of Texas at Austin, conducting biobehavioral research. Chandana also worked as a Student Member in the Strategies and Tactics in Application, Research, and Treatment Laboratory at the University of North Texas, where they presented their team's research at a conference. Most recently, in 2022, they joined TimelyCare as a Provider Network Growth Analyst, contributing to the development of a personalized patient care experience and creating provider resources.
Chandana Chitralekha completed their education in a chronological order. Chandana attended Plano East Sr High School from 2016 to 2018 and then enrolled in the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science from 2018 to 2020. At the University of Texas at Austin, they pursued a Bachelor of Science and Arts (BSA) degree in Biology, General from 2020 to 2022. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Community Health Practice at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health from 2023 to 2024.
In addition to their formal education, Chandana Chitralekha obtained certifications in various healthcare-related areas. In June 2022, they completed the "HIPAA Awareness for Business Associates" program offered by TimelyMD. Chandana also obtained certifications in Standard CPR/AED and Standard First-Aid from the National CPR Foundation in May 2022.
