Aleksander Alekseev

Aleksander Alekseev is an experienced software engineer and open-source contributor with a strong background in PostgreSQL. Since April 2021, Aleksander has been contributing to Timescale as an Open-Source PostgreSQL Contributor. In addition, Aleksander co-founded and has been podcasting for DevZen Podcast since July 2014, which focuses on technical topics in programming and IT for a Russian-speaking audience, garnering over 5,000 regular listeners. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Insolar.io, where the goal was to develop an open-source distributed application server, and PostgreSQL Core Developer at Postgres Professional, where Aleksander mentored a team while developing patches for PostgreSQL. Additional experience includes positions at Nexters, where Aleksander worked on a mobile crypto messenger, and EXANTE, focusing on backend development for a trading application. Aleksander holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
