Michael Edwards

Michael Edwards has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Student Intern at TRICARE Management Activity in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Student Orientation Staff at Virginia Tech. Michael then joined Mayor Jones' Anti-Poverty Commission in 2011 as part of the Transportation Workgroup. In the same year, they started their studies at Virginia Commonwealth University as a student. In 2012, Michael served as a Wilder Fellow at Virginia Information Technologies Agency and as a Research Intern at the Greater Richmond Partnership. Since 2013, they have been with Timmons Group, where they have held various positions, including GIS Analyst, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and currently, Project Director.

Michael Edwards attended James W. Robinson Secondary School from 2003 to 2007, focusing on academics. After completing high school, they enrolled at Virginia Tech from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Affairs and Planning. Following their undergraduate studies, Michael pursued a Master's degree at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Urban Affairs and Public Policy. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Real Estate Sales from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in August 2012. Furthermore, Michael holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
