Will Hunter Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Will Hunter started their career in 2007 as a Sales Associate at Meadows Farms Nursery & Landscaping, where they developed customer service skills and had increasing responsibilities. In 2011, they worked as an Inventory Associate at The Home Depot, maintaining and updating product inventory. Will Hunter then became an Inventory Supervisor at Propane Taxi, LLC from 2011 to 2013, where they developed organizational procedures and maintained inventory records.
In 2013, Will worked as a Research Assistant at Radford University GIS Center, gaining research experience. Will Hunter then interned at the City of Radford GIS Department in 2014, maintaining the city's geodatabase and mapping distribution of survey markers.
In 2015, they had two roles. Will Hunter served as a GIS Technician at Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., where they analyzed spatial data, provided exhibits, and supported cultural resources investigations. Will Hunter also worked as a Research/GIS Consultant for the NASA DEVELOP - Wise County program, leading a project focused on building capacity with a non-profit organization in Peru.
From 2017 to 2020, Will worked as a Production Programmer at Mapcom Systems, focusing on programming tasks. In 2020, they joined VertiGIS as a Team Lead - Data Solutions, leading a team and overseeing data solutions.
Currently, Will is a Technical Analyst at Timmons Group, starting in 2023.
Will Hunter Wilson holds a Certificate in Data Analytics from the University of Richmond Boot Camps, which they obtained from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Urban Revitalization from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2018 to 2019. Will Hunter completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geospatial Science from Radford University between 2010 and 2014. Additionally, they are a certified FME Professional, having obtained this certification from Safe Software in May 2022.
