Amanda Cushman has a wealth of work experience. Amanda began their career in 2005 as a Writing, Math, and Reading SAT Instructor for Capital Educators. Amanda then worked as a Private Tutor for Learning Matters LLC in 2008. In the same year, they took on two roles at the University of California, Irvine Extension as a Program Planner - Education Programs and a Program Representative - Education Programs. In 2011, they were promoted to Acting Director of Medical Programs at the same institution. In 2013, they moved to the University of California, Irvine Distance Learning Center as Manager of Instructor Development and Course Quality. In 2014, they became a Program Mentor at the Boys and Girls Club of Tustin, CA. In 2016, they took on two roles, one as Lead Guide and Passport Program at Acton Academy Phoenix, and the other as a Mentor Leader and Leader at Tinkergarten. Finally, in 2017, Amanda Cushman became Founder of Home Grown Learning Lab, LLC.
Amanda Cushman obtained their Early Childhood Montessori Diploma from the North American Montessori Center in 2017. Amanda received their M.A. in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2011. In 2008, they graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Business Administration, with a focus in Leadership & Change Management and Marketing. From 2009 to 2014, they attended the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education for Business, Management, Marketing, and Educational Technology/Online Instruction. In 2007, they attended the Costa Rica Language Academy for Spanish and the University of Sydney for a Study Abroad program. In 2015, they obtained their Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator from the Positive Discipline Association.
