Cayes Jarda has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In 2012, they began working as a Behavior Specialist for DEVELOPMENTAL DYNAMO, INC. In 2014, they became a Program Advisor for the Institute of Reading Development and a Business Owner for Mx. Chalk Productions. In 2016, they began working as an Elementary School Teacher and Student and Family Experience Coordinator for Achievement First. In 2018, they became a City Commissioner for the City of Middletown, CT. In 2020, they began working as a Course Facilitator and Higher Education Webinar Moderator for Emeritus. In 2021, they began working as a Personal Shopper for Instacart. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Learning Specialist for Buckingham Browne & Nichols School and a Crew Member for Dunkin'.
Cayes Jarda's education history includes graduating from Mercy High School in Middletown, CT, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the University of New Haven in 2005, and earning a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Otis College of Art and Design in 2008. In 2016, they earned a Certificate in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from the Relay Graduate School of Education. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn and Transformation Academy since 2021.
