Cheryl Sew Hoy

Cheryl Sew Hoy has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Cheryl began their career in 2013 as a Product Manager at Walmart Labs, where they worked on product integration and personalization. In 2014, they were head-hunted to become the Founding CEO of the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC). In this role, they created all programs from scratch and built a team of 75 FTEs and 25 interns in under two years. Cheryl then went on to become the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Hack Reactor in 2016, where they provided executive leadership advisory to the CEO and Board of Directors. In the same year, they were appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director at FLEXIROAM. In 2018, they co-founded #MovingForward, a non-profit open-source directory to highlight VCs' discrimination and harassment policies and reporting contacts. Cheryl also became an Entrepreneur in Residence at Silicon Valley Bank and a Fellow in Cohort 2 at On Deck. In 2020, they became the CEO and Founder of Tiny Health, an at-home gut test for parents to monitor and optimize their baby's gut health development.

Cheryl Sew Hoy attended Cornell University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. Cheryl then returned to Cornell University from 2007 to 2008, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management.
