Neal McNamara

Neal McNamara has worked in the journalism and communications industry since 2006. Neal started their career as a Correspondent at the Associated Press, followed by a Reporter role at the Anderson Herald Bulletin. In 2007, they moved to the City Pulse as a News Editor, where they managed a stable of freelance writers and interns, and edited their work. In 2008, they joined ChefTools.com as a Content Editor and Marketing Manager. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a News Reporter at the Federal Way Mirror. In 2011, they moved to the New Haven Register as a News Reporter, where they produced original reporting on topics ranging from politics to crime, ran community-focused social media accounts, and produced audio and video spots. In 2013, they joined Bonneville International as a Web Content Writer and then moved to Scotsman Guide Media as a Senior Associate Editor. In 2015, they took on the role of Senior Communications Manager at TINYpulse, where they managed a variety of tasks that helped the company get media attention. Neal'sefforts resulted in coverage of TINYpulse in outlets like The Washington Post, CNN, The New York Times, USA Today, Bloomberg, CBS News, and the Harvard Business Review. Finally, in 2016, they joined Patch.com as a News Reporter.

Neal McNamara attended Purchase College, SUNY from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Neal also attended Humanities Prep on two occasions, but no further information is available.
