Georgios Trachanis

Georgios Trachanis has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Georgios currently holds the position of Senior Backend Developer at Tiqets since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Backend Developer at VMC.AI from October 2018 to August 2019.

Georgios also worked as a Software Engineer at Roca Markets from October 2015 to July 2018, and at ASML from May 2014 to September 2015. Before that, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at OWOW from September 2013 to March 2014.

In addition to their industry experience, Georgios also gained research experience during their time at Philips Research. Georgios completed a thesis on wireless distributed sensing for intelligent outdoor illumination, where they developed a simulation framework for designing lighting systems and designed control strategies and communication mechanisms. Georgios worked on this project from May 2012 to January 2013. Prior to that, they completed an internship on user interface design for Android apps at Philips Research from July 2011 to November 2011.

Georgios started their career with a thesis on the development of phase detection techniques at the University of Patras, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from January 2010 to July 2010.

Georgios Trachanis has a Master's degree in Embedded Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, where they studied from 2003 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained additional certifications in Basic Statistics and Quantitative Methods from the University of Amsterdam in December 2016 and July 2016, respectively.
