Wolfgang Schaden

Dr. Schaden is a Manager of the company and Director of TRT’s Scientific Advisory Board. Since 1998, Dr. Schaden has served as the Chief of the Department of Shockwave Therapy in Meidling Trauma Center in Vienna, Austria. In 1997, he founded the International Society for Musculoskeletal Shockwave Therapy (ISMST) in Vienna. Since 1992, he has been a member of the re-plantation team of Meidling Trauma Center and in 1993 he performed his first treatment with extracorporeal shockwaves on non-union fractures. Since 1988, he has worked in Vienna, Austria’s Meidling Trauma Center Unit, which treats an average of 60,000 patients per year. From 1986-1987, he joined a peace keeping force in Syria for 6 months. Dr. Schaden trained for traumatology in the Clinic of Wiener Neustadt from 1982 to 1986. He has also received special training in Microsurgery, Reconstructive surgery and Neurosurgery. In addition, Dr. Schaden has produced over 40 published articles and given more than 200 presentations in the field of extracorporeal shockwave therapy.
