Theo von Bardeleben has a diverse work experience. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Owner and Director of SILVERTON ENGINEERING. In 2015, they joined Titan Global Wheel as the Managing Director. Their role at Titan Global Wheel involved establishing the company as a major supplier of off-the-road tyres, rims, wheels, and repairs in sub-Saharan Africa. The company underwent a transformation and achieved a level 2 B-BBEE status during their tenure.
Theo von Bardeleben attended Beachwood High School from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained their Matric degree. Theo then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Natal Technikon, graduating in 1996. Theo later furthered their education at the University of Wales, Cardiff, obtaining a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) between 1998 and 2000, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.

Titan Global Wheel’s partnership with US-based Titan International positions the company as one of the largest sub-Saharan suppliers of off-the-road tyres, rims, wheels and repairs. Having started out as a rim manufacturer in 1965, the original Guestro Wheels business was a part of the Dorbyl Group. In 2012 our name changed to Global Wheel, the company became 100% local once again, majority Black owned and achieved a level 2 B-BBEE status. Titan’s ISO-certified facilities demonstrate some of the most sophisticated design, testing and production processes in the world. It is an enormous advantage for us to be affiliated to one of the world’s largest manufacturers of specialised wheels for use in agriculture, construction, forestry, military, and mining applications since 2017. The business has rebranded to Titan Global Wheel. Between the local organisation’s own rims and tyres and those supplied by the Titan Global operations, Titan Global Wheel delivers a full wheel offering across a range of specialised industries. Titan International owns the Goodyear Agricultural Tyre brand. We proudly reintroduce this massively popular brand into both the local and sub-Saharan African markets.
