Mike Casterline has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the renewable energy industry. Mike started their career as an Independent Contractor, working as a Videographer, Field Producer, Editor, Utility Technician, and Production Assistant from 1993 to 2001.
In 2004, they joined Larry Walker Associates (LWA) as a Project Scientist, focusing on water quality analysis and reporting for EPA and RWQCB regulatory compliance. Mike successfully implemented measures to improve water quality and watershed management.
From 2006 to 2007, Mike served as the VP of Enterprise Sales at Redaptive, Inc.
Mike then joined SolarCity in 2007 and held multiple roles. As a Senior Project Developer, they sold solar/PPAs, energy storage, and EV-charging to enterprise accounts across North America. Mike achieved consistent exceptional performance and closed significant deals, including the first commercial battery storage deals and PV projects in new states, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Mike also closed the first commercial PV/EV deal from LA to SF.
In 2010, Mike became the Director of Energy Storage and Channel Sales at Tesla, where they focused on Powerwall and Powerpack sales.
Subsequently, they worked at Black Bear Energy Inc. in 2018 as the VP of Business Development.
From 2020 to 2023, Mike held the position of Senior AE / Director - Enterprise Accounts at ChargePoint.
Currently, they are the Vice President of Business Development at Titan Renewables, where they oversee large-scale remediation services for solar and other renewables across the United States.
Mike Casterline obtained a Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University of Central Florida, attending from 1989 to 1992. Mike later pursued higher education and earned a Master of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, with a focus on Energy & Water Resources / Conservation Biology. Mike attended UC Santa Barbara from 2001 to 2003.
