- Jones started their career as an Auditor at Ernst & Young in 1998 and worked there until 2002.

- From 2002 to 2004, they served as a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation.

- Jones then moved on to Fairchild Corporation where they held the position of Director - Internal Audit from 2004 to 2006.

- In 2006, they became the Corporate Controller at USIS and remained in that role until 2008.

- From 2007 to 2012, they served as the Corporate Controller at Altegrity.

- In 2012, they briefly worked as the Director, FMPI at MorganFranklin Corporation before joining Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc. as the VP Technical Accounting & Compliance from 2012 to 2013.
