Beth I. Debaptiste

Beth I. deBaptiste serves as the National Commercial Underwriting Counsel at Title First Agency since October 2022. Previously, Beth held the position of Vice President and In-House Counsel at Star Title Agency, LLC, and contributed significantly to the Executive Team while overseeing the Title/Exam Team Department. Prior experience includes roles as Underwriting Counsel at First American Title, where responsibilities included monitoring compliance for Michigan title agents, and Attorney/Shareholder at Butzel Long, focusing on civil litigation related to real estate. Beth's legal career began as an Associate Attorney at Peterson, Hay & Comsa and progressed through various positions, including Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. Educational achievements encompass a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a BA in English from Albion College.
