Mary Fiers

Mary Fiers has extensive experience in governance and leadership roles, currently serving as the director of Groen Ontwikkelfonds Brabant since May 2014 and as a member of the Eerste Kamer der Staten-Generaal since October 2021. Fiers has also held positions on several supervisory boards, including Tiwos and TBV Wonen, and has contributed to the oversight of ROC Ter AA and Stichting Maatschappelijke Opvang Helmond. Prior to these roles, Fiers was involved in local governance as a member of the Municipal Council of Eindhoven and as a deputy mayor with a focus on housing and urban development. Educational credentials include a master's degree in policy and organizational sciences from Tilburg University and various certifications related to governance and housing management.
