Sara Mertz

Sara Mertz has held a variety of roles in the music industry since 2008. Sara began their career as President of Ninth Street Opus, a forward-thinking record label, where they assembled and oversaw a team which included film and TV licensing, booking, branding and marketing, publicity and online promotion. In 2011, they took on the role of VP Partner Relations at MAGNIFI.FM, where they led the acquisition of key strategic partnerships which drove over 80% of all user traffic and grew the database from less than 10 artists to 50,000 actively touring musicians. In 2012, Sara became President of Shift Independent, a complete artist services management company, where they provided label services to 30+ artists. From 2016 to 2020, Sara worked at Eventbrite, where they played a key role in the company's upmarket strategy and consistently exceeded the company's annual sales goals by 150-200%. Most recently, they have held the roles of VP Music Partnerships, Venues and Director, Music Partnerships - Music Team Lead at Tixr.

Sara Mertz received their Bachelor's degree in Drama/English from Vassar College between 1997 and 2001. Sara then attended The Bay School of San Francisco in 2001-2002, where they earned a CMT.
