Abe Dane

CEO at Tizra

Abe Dane is the current CEO at Tizra. Abe has previous experience as the Director of Product Development and Deployment for the ICS/websites Unit at Ingenta, where they built and managed a multi-national team. Abe also served as the Director of the Producer Group at Ingenta, helping to build a project management team responsible for relationships with clients including McGraw-Hill, The Journals of the American Medical Association, Oxford University Press, and the Association for Investment Management and Research.

E-Prints is where Dane first got their start in 2001. Abe served as the President and Founder, conceiving and co-managing the first fully operational e-commerce service for professional event photographers. Abe was able to build a network of 390 photographer clients and successfully prosecute a patent application that they sold to Eastman Kodak.

Dane has also held the positions of Founding Editor of HomeArts Online Network at Hearst and Director of Educational Technology in the Engineering Systems Division at MIT.

Abe Dane attended Haverford College for their BA in English, then Bryn Mawr College before becoming a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
