David Yew has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as a Lean Manufacturing Co-op at Research In Motion. David then worked as a Mechanical Engineering Researcher at the University of Victoria, where they researched Ocean Wave Energy Conversion technologies. At Kraft Canada, they served as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, managing safety and efficiency improvement projects. David also founded Kurve Solutions, a company they still currently works for. David joined Tjene Corp in 2014 and has held various roles, including Senior Consultant and Director Of Technology. David is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Tjene Corp. Additionally, they have experience at Owens Corning and GE, where they worked in manufacturing and engineering roles.
David Yew attended Collingwood School from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a High School Diploma. Later, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Biomechanics Option at the University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2012, earning a BASc. In 2023, they obtained a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) certification from the Co-Active Training Institute.
