Ian Wheatley

Ian Wheatley has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Ian started their career in accounting as an Accounts Junior and later worked as a Purchase Ledger Clerk and a Part-time Accounts Assistant at Glenlake Computers Ltd. Ian then transitioned into the IT industry, working as a Helpdesk Technician, Helpdesk Manager, and Call Centre Manager at Soft Options UK Ltd.

In 2000, they joined Xentric Ltd as a Network Manager, where they provided server and desktop support, as well as telephony system support. Ian then moved to Boots, where they held various roles including Service Desk Team Leader, Installation Support Specialist, Junior Business Analyst, Store Systems Team Lead, and Project Service Lead. In these roles, they supported the implementation of new systems, managed a team of analysts, and provided 3rd and 4th line operational support to a large number of stores.

Ian later worked at MICROS as a Dynamics Nav Customer Service Support Consultant, investigating and resolving complex issues and handling 3rd party incidents. Ian then joined Ocean Dynamics GRP Ltd, where they served as a Dynamics NAV Information Systems Manager and undertook in-depth investigations and resolutions of incidents.

Currently, they work at MADIC UK as a Group IT Manager. Their responsibilities include overseeing IT operations within the group. Overall, Ian Wheatley has a strong background in IT management and support, with experience in system implementation, team leadership, and customer service.

Ian Wheatley completed their education at NESCOT North East Surrey College of Technology from 1993 to 1995, earning a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies with a distinction. Prior to that, they attended Stanley Park High School from 1987 to 1993, where they obtained 9 GCSEs with grades ranging from A to C. The GCSEs included English, Maths, Science, and IT.

In addition to their formal education, Ian Wheatley has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In October 2013, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional and achieved the MS: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Installation and Configuration certification. Ian also holds the title of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Installation and Configuration Specialist.
