Heather Cameron is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in library services, nonprofit management, and publishing. Currently serving as Commissioner of the New Mexico State Library Commission since April 2024, Heather provides guidance on library-related matters in New Mexico. As the Founding Board Chair of TMC Community Capital since March 2019, Heather focuses on supporting women-owned and under-resourced small businesses in California through accessible financing. Heather's prior roles include Director at CEB - Continuing Education of the Bar, Advisory Board Member at Ravel Law (a LexisNexis Company), President and Board Chair at YWCA San Francisco/Marin, and President of the Belvedere-Tiburon Library Foundation. A former Vice President/General Manager at Thomson Reuters and President & Publisher at ABC-CLIO, Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Queen's University.
