Previously, Tan held roles such as Shipping and Documentation Executive at Musim Mas, managing palm oil trade operations, and Assistant Project Manager at Pro-Actice Synergy Sdn Bhd, overseeing international trade documentation for raw materials. Earlier experiences include a trainee internship at Jurukur Perunding Service Sdn.Bhd., involved in topographical mapping, and a sales executive position at DiGi Telecommunications. Tan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.
