Laredo Bell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Laredo started their career as a Propulsion Engineer on the USS Constellation CV-64, where they were responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment. Laredo then served as the Chief Engineer and Damage Control Officer on the USS Ogden LPD-5, overseeing the Engineering Department and leading a team of officers and enlisted personnel. Laredo also served as the Chief Engineer on the USS TARAWA LHA-1 and the Chief Engineer on the USS ESSEX LHD-2, managing large departments and collaborating with Marines. Laredo later worked as the Officer-in-Charge at the Center for Naval Engineering Learning Site, where they updated engineering curricula and provided support to software developers. Laredo also served as the Assistant Material/Maintenance Officer at Commander Amphibious Group Three, ensuring engineering certifications and inspections were completed successfully. Laredo continued their career as the Commanding Officer/Action Officer at Naval Support Activity Saratoga Springs, overseeing various administrative functions. Laredo then joined the United States Navy as the Senior Engineering Inspector for the Military Sealift Command, where they provided logistics support for USNS ships. Laredo also worked as a Project Manager at General Dynamics NASSCO-Norfolk, overseeing project data and information management. Currently, Laredo is a Senior Engineering Technician at The McHenry Management Group, where they are responsible for implementing changes to test procedures and conducting material assessments for SMART inspections.
