Katharine W. Heatwole

Katharine W. Heatwole, M.D. has extensive experience in the field of neurology, starting as an Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1991. Katharine W. then became an Associate Partner at the Neurological Institute of Virginia in 1998 before transitioning to a role as a Neurohospitalist at Sentara Medical Group in 2004. In 2013, they took on the position of Managing Partner at Ocean Psychiatric Group, PC. Currently, since 2015, Dr. Heatwole serves as the Medical Director at Greenbrook TMS NeuroHealth Centers.

Katharine W. Heatwole, M.D. completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at William & Mary from 1977 to 1982. Katharine W. then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Eastern Virginia Medical School from 1983 to 1987. Following that, they completed their Internal Medicine Residency Program at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine from 1987 to 1988, and their Neurology Residency Program at Vanderbilt University from 1988 to 1991.
