Chandarin Ung

Ropac Project Lead at tna solutions Pty Ltd.

Chandarin Ung's work experience begins in 2011 at the Institute of Railway Technology (IRT) as a Research Engineer, where they were responsible for monitoring the dynamic performance of railcars and analyzing data collected from Instrumented Ore Cars (IOC). They also developed algorithms to automate data analysis and improve track identification.

In 2011, Chandarin also started working as a Postgraduate Research Associate at Monash University. Their main project involved designing and developing an energy harvesting device to capture ambient vibration energy for powering wireless devices and sensors. They conducted research on existing technology used in the rail industry, explored design concepts, and created detailed engineering drawings.

In 2012, Chandarin took on the role of Tutor/Demonstrator at Monash University, where they assisted students in understanding experimental projects and dynamics topics related to kinematics and kinetics of particle and rigid body dynamical systems.

In 2016, Chandarin worked as an Architectural Draftsman at Bezalel Creative for a brief period.

In the same year, they joined TNA Australia Manufacturing Pty Ltd as a Customer Service and Logistic Coordinator until 2018.

From 2018 to 2019, Chandarin worked at tna solutions Pty Ltd. as a Design Engineer, followed by a position as a Product Development Engineer from 2019 to 2021. They later took on the role of Ropac Project Lead, which extended beyond the available data.

Chandarin Ung attended Mordialloc College from 2000 to 2005, where they completed their Victorian Certificate of Education. Chandarin then enrolled at Monash University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Science. Continuing their education at Monash University, Chandarin pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2016.
