Aliene van der Veen

Aliene van der Veen is a seasoned IT architect specializing in sustainable energy systems, currently employed at TNO since October 2018. In this role, Aliene focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of new energy services and market mechanisms, leads the development of energy market modeling tools for business case evaluation, and serves as the program coordinator for system operation. Prior experience includes positions as an Engineer in Smart Energy at DNV GL, a project member in the EIT Digital Smart Energy Systems at CWI, and a research intern at CGI, where Aliene explored smart energy grids and related concepts. Aliene's educational background includes a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, both obtained from the University of Groningen.
