Bart Kamphorst is a scientist specializing in distributed systems and privacy-enhancing technologies at TNO since July 2018. In the role of scientist for distributed systems, Bart designs and implements solutions for the dynamic orchestration of large-scale IT systems, while also pushing the boundaries of engineering solutions. Previously, Bart served as a scientist integrator, focusing on secure multi-party computation and artificial intelligence to derive insights from distributed data without compromising sensitive information. Prior to TNO, Bart completed a PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology on online scheduling policies and participated in the works council at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica during a significant transition period. Bart's early career includes research internships at TNO, as well as assistant roles at Leiden University and SSL Leiden, along with board membership at the student volleyball association SKC Leiden. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Applied Mathematics and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Leiden University.
