Giorgos Mazarakis

Giorgos Mazarakis is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in system engineering and sensor technology. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at TNO since August 2023, Giorgos previously held roles at Philips Engineering Solutions, where responsibilities included Senior Architect Sensing and Technologist Sensing from October 2016 to August 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Product Development Engineer at Sonion, focusing on MEMS-based microphones, and as a Senior Researcher at AGT Group (Germany) GmbH, where research centered on networked sensors for urban air quality. Giorgos also contributed as a MEMS Sensors Development Engineer at Theon Sensors, specializing in sensor systems design and testing. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Space Systems and Business Engineering from Technische Universität Graz and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, alongside multiple degrees in related fields.
