Heather Wray

Heather Wray is a scientist and project manager leading the Bio-based and Circular Technologies group at TNO since May 2020, where coordination of the EU Horizon2020 F-CUBED project, involving 14 partner organizations and a budget of 4M EUR, is a key responsibility. Prior experience includes serving as Research Director and Sustainability Expert at The Student Hotel, Water Design Specialist at CH2M focusing on water treatment infrastructure, and Director of the start-up Rooftop Gardens INC., aimed at innovating rooftop vegetable gardening technologies. Heather has a solid academic background with a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science in Ecology and Environmental Biology from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Western University. Previous roles also encompassed teaching and research positions at various universities, coupled with substantial research work in urban agriculture and wetland water filtration.
