Jip van Stijn

Researcher AI In Public Safety & Security at TNO

Jip van Stijn is a Researcher specializing in AI applications within Public Safety and Security at TNO since April 2021, focusing on the safe deployment of emerging technologies. Previous experience includes roles as a COVID-19 Tester and Source Tracer at GGD Kennemerland and as a Human-Computer Teaming Research Intern at TNO, where Jip explored moral decision-making in medical intelligent systems. Jip also founded Van Stijn Digital Support and completed an Experimental Psychology Research Internship at Utrecht University. Jip holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, an MSc in European Politics and External Relations from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts & Sciences from University College Utrecht, complemented by exchange semesters at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and UC Santa Barbara.
