Jorrit de Boer

Jorrit de Boer is a Quantum Systems Engineer at TNO since August 2023, focusing on advancing Quantum Computing and Quantum Internet technologies. Prior to this role, Jorrit held multiple positions at PhotonFirst from May 2020 to August 2023, including System Engineer, Project Manager, and Researcher. Jorrit's academic background includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Twente from October 2015 to October 2019, where significant research led to several publications, including a PhD thesis on Quantum Transport in Topological Matter. Jorrit's earlier experiences include graduate and undergraduate internships at Fluor and Jac Kooij & Zn. B.V., complemented by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Twente, a Master of Science in Applied Physics, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering, Design & Innovation.
