Komar Javanmardi

Komar Javanmardi is currently a PhD candidate and researcher at TNO since April 2023, specializing in energy system analysis. Previous experience includes a researcher role at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, focusing on Positive Energy Districts, and various urban planning and GIS analyst positions at Protek-Yapi, AVERS Consulting Engineering Company, and Arseh Consulting Engineers. In these roles, Komar contributed to projects on risk-sensitive land use planning, multi-hazard evaluations, and urban development strategies across several countries, collaborating with organizations like the World Bank and UN-HABITAT. Educated in urban planning and smart cities, Komar holds advanced degrees from multiple institutions, including a Doctor of Philosophy from Utrecht University and a Master's degree from Erasmus Mundus.
