Merel Laarhoven

Merel Laarhoven currently serves as a System Integration Scientist at TNO since February 2025. Prior experience includes a role as an Energy and Climate Advisor at VDL Groep and as a Student Assistant for Entrepreneurship Education at TU/e innovation Space, where research was conducted to enhance entrepreneurial skills among students. Laarhoven has also held positions such as Graduate Intern for the North Sea Energy Project at TNO, Junior Analyst at Navius Research, and Campus Relations Manager at GO Green Office, focusing on promoting sustainable behavior within the TU/e community. Further experience includes serving as an Optics Tutor and Master Mentor at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, as well as contributing to Team Energy's company outreach initiatives. Laarhoven holds two master's degrees in Applied Physics and Sustainable Energy Technology, alongside a bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, all from Eindhoven University of Technology, and completed secondary education at Gymnasium Beekvliet.
