Nathan Bowden

Nathan Bowden serves as the EU Coordinator for the Energy and Materials Transition Business Unit at TNO since January 2023, after previously holding the role of Senior Business Developer at Biorizon. Prior to TNO, Nathan worked at ISPT as a Program Manager, overseeing a portfolio of international projects focused on Efficient Liquid Separations. Additional experience includes a position as a Lecturer and Primary Investigator at Avans Hogeschool's Center for Biobased Economy, and an External Researcher at Wageningen UR, where Nathan developed extraction techniques for valuable commodities. As a Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, Nathan contributed to thermodynamic modeling for bio-molecular interactions. Early career experiences include consulting roles at TNO Mobility & Logistics and ECT, and a research position at Delft University of Technology. Nathan holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Wageningen University & Research and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
