Rick Meessen

Rick Meessen is a Principal Advisor in Defence and Security at TNO, with a career spanning over three decades. Meessen has held various leadership roles, including Director of Defence Research and Military Operations, managing national and international defence research programs, focusing on innovation and technology assessment. Key areas of expertise include strategic defence analysis, military operations, and procurement of defence systems. Additionally, Meessen serves as a board member for both the EU-HYBNET and NATO Science & Technology Organization, and participates actively in the Kooy committee, promoting innovative solutions in defense and security. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Mathematics and Operations Research from Radboud University and further education at The Clingendael Institute and IMD.
