Tirza van Daalen

Tirza van Daalen currently serves as President and Member of the Executive Committee at EuroGeoSurveys, a not-for-profit organization representing 38 National Geological Surveys in Europe since January 2019. In addition, Tirza holds the position of Director at the Geological Survey of the Netherlands and has previously been Deputy Director and Head of Data & Information at the same institution. Tirza is also a member of the scientific committee at BRGM, France's leading public institution for Earth Science applications, and serves on the Board of Trustees at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources in Germany. From March 2019 to September 2023, Tirza chaired the strategic steering committee for OneGeology, an initiative aimed at improving global geoscience data accessibility. Tirza's earlier experience includes roles at the Netherlands Research Centre for Integrated Solid Earth Science, Elsevier as a Publisher in Earth & Environmental Science, and PinkRoccade IT Management as an IT Management Consultant. Tirza holds a Master's degree in Geology from Utrecht University and has additional qualifications from EXIN.
