Ashley Martin

Director Of Academics, Northeast at TNTP

Ashley Martin currently serves as the Director of Academics for the Northeast region at TNTP, a position held since October 2021, while also being the Founder of The Teacher Sanctuary, which focuses on the healing aspects of reading and writing in education. Previously, Ashley held the role of Chief Academic Officer at Veritas Prep Public Schools, leading innovative educational practices in Western Massachusetts. Additional experience includes serving as Principal and Principal-in-Residence at UP Education Network, where notable accomplishments included launching a new school, and as Executive Director for The Achievement Network in Massachusetts, where significant expansion in partnership schools occurred. Early career roles included positions as Assistant Principal and ELA Teacher at John J Duggan Middle School, Literacy Coach, and English Teacher at The SEED Public Charter School, as well as various teaching roles within Fairfax County Public Schools. Ashley holds multiple degrees in English and Education from Wake Forest University, The University of Alabama, and Birmingham-Southern College.
