Jonnathan Smith

Jonnathan Smith is an accomplished analytics professional with extensive experience in education and research. Currently serving as the Analytics Director at TNTP since March 2022, Jonnathan leads the Research and Evaluation team focused on academics and schools. Prior experience includes holding various analytical roles at Denver Public Schools from 2013 to 2022, including Research Manager, Lead Analyst, Supervisor of Strategic Analytics, and Senior Research Analyst. Jonnathan’s work has emphasized data analysis to address achievement gaps and inform district strategies, alongside supervising research teams and conducting assessments. Earlier roles included Lead Staff at Attention Homes and Research Associate at YESS Institute, where Jonnathan contributed to initiatives supporting youth and conducting program evaluations. In addition, Jonnathan has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver. Educational credentials include a PhD in Education and Psychological Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington.
